MUSIC AND ORFF EDUCATION IN THE PREESCHOOL PERIOD

This is project for kindergartens with the aim of childrends from 3-6 years old to;
- Develope role-taking skills within the group,
- Improve creativity,

An Orff workshop was established in 2016 with the aim of providing students with musical training in the pre-school period and providing appropriate training support in the direction of their abilities.
During the training process; It was necessary to cooperate with educational institutions and teachers who were teaching Orff instruments in European countries with the reason that Orff instruments were being used by our children like toys and that our pre-school teachers were not experienced in how to train using Orff instruments.
In the scope of the project, Turkey, Lithuania and North Macedonia will cooperate with schools which have training activities and implement training processes in their schools using Orff instruments and have experience in this field. Within the scope of the project, 3 schools; Pre-school teachers, music teachers, English teachers, administrators and teachers will take part in the project. 60 pre-school students in 3 schools between 3-6 years of age will participate in the educational activities to be held at the local level.
Turkey, Lithuania and North Macedonia will be conducted in partnership with our project, our teachers participated in local and transnational activities;

 

Using the Orff instruments, students will prepare activities that will enable them to take part in the group, improve their creativity, recognize their musical ability,
- Orff will collaborate on how to handle a lesson using instruments and how to provide classroom management,
- Orff will prepare a training program covering at least 20 lesson hours in which they will apply the activities and teaching methods they will implement using curriculum instruments to curriculum programs.
The events prepared by the transnational educational activities will be implemented in schools by the teachers of 3 schools. The training program prepared by evaluating the effects on the students participating in the training activities will be revised during the project.

 

With our project;
The 3-6 age group is a training model in which early childhood musical skills are discovered, children with musical ability are supported in their abilities, our children in an Orff orchestra are supported in areas where they are skilled and skilled in the group, having fun in our schools, We want to spend the day with this project in order to strengthen the professional profiles of our teachers involved in the project processes.

 

Within the scope of the project, we will establish a network of transnational cooperation, sharing experiences and good practices:
- To raise awareness of learning in pre-school children,
- To expose children's abilities in the early stages,
- To increase the creativity of pre-school children,
- You can make new friends through music,
- Early children discovering the musical ability of our children living in the early age of music,
- We aim to improve the skills of our pre-school students in the 3-6 year old group who take part in the Orff orchestra.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

C1

Orff Principles

During this activity;

1. A training presentation will be given to the participants by our Macedonian partner about the basic principles of the Orff approach and the gains that the Orff method will provide for preschool students.

2. The teachers of the 3 schools are working together with a group of 20 students and using Orff instruments,

- Will be able to prepare at least 3 events that will enable the students to introduce Orff instruments,

- In a classroom setting where Orff instruments are used by students who do not know each other and who are new to the school; will be able to express the names of the friends, the things he likes to each other and prepare the Orff activities that will enable the group to know each other.

Educational activity; The training will be evaluated by the preliminary and final surveys and the number of events prepared by the teachers. Preparation of at least 3 events

It is aimed. The effects of the prepared activities on the students will be evaluated during the local activities by teacher observation reports, management teams and parents' opinions.

A total of 15 teachers, including 3 teachers, 3 pre-school teachers, 1 music teacher, 1 English teacher, will participate in the activity. Music teachers will provide musical support to teachers' work with Orff instruments, English teachers will participate in training activities in order to make translations of the prepared training programs and to provide language support to the working group. The participants will be selected by scoring according to the criteria determined by the management team, The participants will sign a learning contract.

INTRODUCING ORFF INSTRUMENTS AND SOUNDS TO STUDENTS

Teachers participating in this event;

- Activities will be prepared for the students to gain the awareness that the Orff instruments are not educational toys.

- Students will prepare activities that will enable the students to recognize the names and sounds of each Orff instrument.

Orff instruments will be used in the classroom according to the course hours determined how many course hours will be required to create daily plans. Activity method; Presentation, narration, sampling, demonstration, imitation, improvisation, group work methods will be used.

The daily plans containing the prepared activities will be applied by the teachers returning to their country and their results will be evaluated and with the virtual mobility activities, teachers will share information and any deficiencies will be revised in C3 activity. The activities prepared will be adapted to the curriculum of schools in the C5 activity and the location of these activities will be determined in the annual plan. Activity participants; A total of 15 teachers, including 3 pre-school teachers, 1 music teacher, 1 English teacher, will participate in 3 schools. PREPARATION OF ACTIVITIES TO DISCOVER AND IMPROVE MUSICAL ABILITY

Teachers during this activity;

Using Orff instruments, he will plan activities in the classroom to explore and direct students' musical talent.

Teachers will prepare an activity and daily work plan to cover at least 7 class hours,

- Using Orff instruments, students will prepare activities that will enable the students to take part in the group and develop their creative thinking skills while they are studyingIt is aimed to prepare at least 14 hours of training program including at least 7 class hours of activity and daily plan. The activities which will be implemented by teachers returning to their country will be implemented within the classroom by the teachers who have 14 hours of lectures prepared by the teachersDuring the in-school practice, the activities and the shortcomings in the daily plan will be revised by the teachers who come together in C 4 activities. The program will be adapted to the curriculum of schools in C5 activity and the activities will be placed in the schools' annual plan. PREPARING THE ORFF INSTRUMENTS SHOW PLAN

During this activity;

-3 schools will be held at the end of the year, for the Orff instruments show, teachers of 3 schools will be attended by a group of 20 students and 45 minutes will take place in an orff instruments show activity, song, movement, costume role distribution among students and so on. details and

Teachers who prepare the plan for the year-end Orff Show activities will prepare the activity plan by doing brainstorming by using orff instruments. Teachers who return to the country for the implementation of the plan will start the demonstration rehearsals and share their rehearsal work with each other through virtual mobility. If there are any deficiencies in the activities they prepared, they will revise together. ANNUAL PLAN PREPARATION

During a school year, the number of courses to be processed using orff instruments will be planned for the activities to be adapted to the curriculum of schools. A final annual Orff training plan will be prepared. The annual plan will include at least 20 course hours. During the activity, teachers will use orff instruments to conduct group work, brainstorming and information sharing.
